Dear Colleagues,

The year 2026 is a special moment for the Polish Society of Dietetics – we are celebrating the 40th anniversary of our activities. Four decades of jointly building a scientific, educational, and clinical community, which today shapes modern dietetics in Poland.

On this occasion, we are honored to invite you to participate in the International Congress DIETETYKA 2026 – The Power of Science: The past that inspires – the future we create, which will take place on October 3rd at the International Congress Center in Katowice.

The event will not only serve as a scientific summary of our achievements to date but also provide a platform for inspiring discussions on the challenges and future directions of our discipline. The Congress will be held under the theme:
“The past that inspires – the future we create”

The Congress program will include four diverse thematic sessions, each opened by an invited international guest presenting a unique perspective on contemporary dietetic challenges. Participants will then have the opportunity to hear presentations from leading Polish experts, who will share the latest research findings, practical clinical experiences, and inspiring perspectives on the development of dietetics. The sessions are designed to combine scientific knowledge with practical application and provide a platform for discussion on the role of dietetics in healthcare today and in the future.

The Congress will also feature a poster session for young scientists – students and doctoral candidates in dietetics – during which the best works will be recognized.

We have ensured the comfort and accessibility of the event – the Congress will be simultaneously interpreted (PL–EN), and selected content will be made available online after the meeting.

We warmly invite dietitians, physicians, nurses, and representatives of other healthcare professions to participate. Attendance will be credited with educational points.

Let this be an opportunity for shared meetings, reflection, inspiration, and celebration – with the hope that what we have built over 40 years will serve as a solid foundation for future generations.

The Congress is the first event organized by the Association in this format. On the occasion of the Association’s 40th anniversary, we have invited outstanding experts to collaborate in developing the scientific program.

The International Congress Center is located in the heart of the city, right next to the legendary Spodek sports and entertainment arena. Together with the Silesian Museum and the headquarters of the National Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra, it forms the “Cultural Zone” – a new urban space frequented by both tourists and residents of Katowice and the Silesian Metropolitan Area.

The conference fee depends on the type of participation and the payment deadline.

Early registration period (until 30th April 2026):

Members of the Association (membership number required): 250 PLN
Non-members of the PTD: 500 PLN
Undergraduate Dietetics Students (student ID required during registration): 200 PLN

Discounts are also available for participants attending only the poster sessions.

ABSTRACTS,
POSTER SESSION

We encourage all young researchers — future dietitians — to submit abstracts and present their work during the poster session, where the best projects will be recognized.

EDUCATION POINTS

The certificate will be issued in electronic form. It will be granted only to participants present at the Conference.

After the program is finalized, the Organizer will apply for the accreditation of continuing education points for physicians and dentists (Regulation of the Minister of Health of 21.02.2022, Journal of Laws 2022, item 464).
